Calling all budding band leaders / conductors / arrangers
Are you looking for a new musical project to stretch you in new directions? We are looking for a new band leader / conductor / arranger who would like to work with an enthusiastic group of musicians who are experienced at playing unusual and challenging music. You can use us to try out your arrangements and compositions, or you can improve our performances using our existing pad.
If you're someone who is fun, strong and experimental in musical terms, then contact Cat Young on 01491 824368 to find out more.
Seeking Sax Players (of the Tenor variety only)
Our Tenor Sax section is down to just one at the moment, and their is one permanent chair and a 'floating' seat available to a local saxophonist interested in playing our ecclectic mix of music. If you play to a Grade 6 level (or higher) and you want a new challenge, come along to a rehearsal to try us out.

The
Titanic House Band is a wind and brass orchestra with piano,
bass and percussion based at the European School at Culham,
near Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK. The orchestra consists of
around 20 keen amateur musicians and the repertoire features
quite a variety of styles, - Latin, European, Jazz, Modern
and Classical. Arrangements of music of well known giants
like Kurt Weill and Frank Zappa as well as original arrangements
and compositions or pieces of less well known composers.
The
band strives for musical quality as well as fun. You will
be surprised and fascinated by the freshness and the accessibility
of the music.
Titanic
House Band have provided the entertainment for many local
charity events, school fetes, private parties and village
fairs. We have performed in the Randolph Hotel, Oxford and
not being satisfied with reaching those dizzy heights, we
decided to launch ourselves on the international stage. We
have a strong connection with Holland. Our founder, Joost
Walter, now lives back in his native land, and since 2004,
The Titanic House Band has been on exchange trips to Almen,
to play with the Juliana Band.
